Dr Alex Edwards is a HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist specialising in supporting neurodivergent children and young people up to the age of 25. She brings a compassionate, evidence-based approach to working with children and families, recognising that every child is unique and requires tailored support.

Alex completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Royal Holloway University of London in 2008 and has extensive experience across NHS Trusts, Local Authorities, court assessments, and private practice. She is a registered provider with Hertfordshire Local Authority for children receiving Education Other Than In School (EOTIS).

Trained in the “gold standard” of autism assessments, Alex uses the Autism Diagnostic Interview (ADI-R) and Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2), collaborating with a network of trusted colleagues including Consultant Paediatricians, Speech and Language Therapists, and other Clinical and Educational Psychologists.

Her goal is to provide support with understanding and empathy, guiding children and families through assessments, interventions, and strategies that best meet their individual needs. Alex works closely with families to ensure a personalised approach that empowers both children and their caregivers.
