Anne Hurley

Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist

Anne Hurley is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist with over 25 years’ experience of working with children and young people with emotional, behavioural and relationship problems.
She trained at the Tavistock Clinic in London, qualified in 2001 and is a full member of the Association of Child Psychotherapists.
Anne has worked extensively in NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services with children, young people, and parents. She was Lead Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist at Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust until 2018. She led a portfolio of psychoanalytic clinical training programmes at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust up to 2023. She continues to have a teaching and supervision role for Doctoral training in Psychoanalytic Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy in London and Leeds.

Now working in private practice, Anne provides assessment and psychoanalytic psychotherapy to children and young people who are presenting with a wide range of emotional, behavioural, and mental health problems. She also provides consultation and therapeutic work to parents in situations where there are complicated issues, such as bereavement, divorce, trauma, and mental health difficulty that are hindering optimal family relationships.
