Amanda Pountney

Amanda brings over 20 years of teaching experience to her Pilates practice and holds Master Teacher certification with the Body Control Pilates™ Association, Europe’s leading professional body for Pilates teachers. She is also a REPs Level 4 Specialist Exercise Instructor in Lower Back Pain and a qualified Back Care Professional, with advanced training on the Pilates Reformer and Cadillac.

Throughout her career, Amanda has worked with a wide range of clients, both in group classes and one-to-one settings — from athletes looking to enhance performance to individuals managing chronic pain, injury, or long-term conditions. She is deeply passionate about supporting each client to achieve their goals while improving overall wellbeing.

Alongside her teaching, Amanda is a dedicated Body Control educator and mentor, having trained and supported many student teachers as they develop their skills and confidence. She takes great pride in passing on her knowledge and experience to the next generation of Pilates professionals.

Amanda is committed to delivering safe, effective, and enjoyable Pilates sessions for people of all backgrounds and abilities. She firmly believes in the powerful role Pilates plays in supporting both physical and mental health, and regularly attends courses and workshops to continue expanding her knowledge — ensuring her clients receive the highest standard of teaching.
