Lisa trained in the Gestalt tradition, drawn to its understanding that people are shaped by their relationships and environments, as well as their inner experiences.

Her path to becoming a therapist has been varied. She began her career as a secretary, then studied History at university before spending thirteen years as a police officer in the Metropolitan Police. Moving into therapy marked a significant change in her life. That experience informs her understanding of the pressures first responders face, alongside her commitment to supporting people from all walks of life.

Lisa works with people aged 16 and over and welcomes LGBTQ+ clients. As a parent, she has personal experience of neurodivergence and home education. Alongside talking therapy, she sometimes uses art materials and sand tray, offering different ways to explore feelings when words are difficult to find. She also has particular experience in grief and bereavement through her work with Cruse Bereavement.

Lisa offers sessions online, by phone and in person in St Albans and Old Hatfield. Some Gestalt and creative approaches, including empty chair and grounding work, are particularly suited to in-person sessions.
