Dr Jasdeep Kaur Grewal

Clinical Psychologist

Dr Jasdeep Kaur Grewal (BSc, MSc, DClinPsy) is a Clinical Psychologist in Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health and a Visiting Lecturer at UH Doctoral Studies. She has 10 years clinical, research and teaching experience in mental health, having worked with various difficulties (from mild to severe) in therapeutic services within the community and hospital settings in and around London as well as abroad.

Dr Jasdeep is a registered member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Before completing her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, she studied Neuroscience, Psychoanalysis and Psychology. She offers psychology assessments and therapy sessions that are evidence-based and tailored to her client’s specific needs, values and preferences. Recognising the benefits of creative approaches to therapy, Dr Jasdeep provides and incorporates art and sensory resources in her therapy sessions.

Using a compassionate and person-centred approach, she aims to provide a confidential safe space to her clients where together they can (1) make sense of the difficulties being experienced and (2) work together towards achieving the client’s hopes and therapy goals. Her approach is informed by a variety of models, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Mindfulness approaches, Systemic and Narrative Therapy, and Psychoanalytic ideas.
