Sunday Yoga Club: The Magic of Backbends Workshop

  • The Oak House Studio & Therapies Church Lane (off Great North Road), George's Gate Hatfield, England, AL9 5HX United Kingdom (map)

With Holly Saxton

Join Holly for a fun, flowing, Sunday morning in the main studio exploring a dynamic vinyasa flow, based on the Rocket sequence, whilst focusing and incorporating the magic of backbends. Working with the power of prana and safely exploring how to move our spines in and out of certain asanas (poses) to tap into that energising, uplifting, sometimes transformative energy.

In this session, you'll move through an steady, breath led, yet flowing Rocket inspired sequence, slowly building heat, with an infusion of backbends for all abilities. We’ll break down poses such as Camel, Dancer Pose and Wheel Pose - including how to incorporate a yoga wheel into your back bending journey!

Rocket Yoga is a dynamic, breath led Vinyasa flow designed to ignite your strength, flexibility, and focus. Based on the traditional Ashtanga yoga system, Rocket offers a playful yet challenging experience that breaks the traditional mould, as the founder of Rocket, Larry Schultz says: Rocket gets you there quicker!

Holly curates playlists that flow as you flow and ensures there is always a focus on breath count and alignment including verbal and/or hands on adjustments to assist and support you in your yoga journey. All levels of yoga abilities are welcome, but some prior yoga experience or general good fitness is advised.
