Join Holly for a fun, flowing, Saturday afternoon in the main studio exploring a Rocket inspired Vinyasa Flow themed around backbends. This workshop is designed to help you explore backbends with more time and care, wether you’re just starting your vinyasa yoga journey or already have an established backbending practice.
Rocket Yoga is a dynamic, breath led Vinyasa flow designed to ignite your strength, flexibility, and focus. Based on the traditional Ashtanga yoga system, Rocket offers a playful yet challenging experience that breaks the traditional mould. In this session, you'll move through an steady yet flowing sequence, slowly building heat, warming up the spine to explore poses such as wheel, bow pose and camel - which we’ll break down together to explore technique and build confidence. Holly curates playlists that flow as you flow and ensures there is always a focus on breath count and alignment.
What to expect:
13.15 - 13.30 Arrivals, get settled on our mats.
13.30 We’ll open the practice and explore some pranayama (breathwork) then start to flow and explore our Rocket Yoga sequence, dropping into our bodies and flow, and warming up our spines, before breaking down some foundational techniques to safely explore getting into and out of backbends and the various types of backbends we explore in yoga asana sequences - from beginner to more intermediate - there will be guidance and options for all levels of ability, Holly will support you wherever you are in your backbending journey!
The session will end with taking restorative postures & winding down into a long Savasana.
